We want you to feel welcome and cherished when you visit comment on BeeFree Adventures.  We don’t know what your home is like, but our house is full of peace, love, and respect. That’s why we actively moderate comments and ban users as needed to keep the comment threads here pleasant and respectful for all.

Our No. 1 rule of thumb is simple: Don’t be a rude.

The Do’s

Here’s are some examples of what we like to see in comments:

  • Weigh in with smart, informed ideas that contribute further to the topic.

  • Give us useful, constructive criticism. Spot a typo or an error? Let us know and we will correct it.

  • Demonstrate and share the intelligence, wisdom, and humor we know you possess.

  • Don’t feed the trolls. When it is obvious that someone is just trying to be rude or get under their skin. Don’t engage.  Downvote and flag comments instead. We will take care of it swiftly.

The Don’ts

Although we are not Jedis and we can’t be everywhere at once, here are some of the kinds of comments we’re going to do looking out for:

  • Promoting your own brand, product, or blog. So you’ve got a environmentally friendly hip new brand that will simultaneously solve world poverty. Great. Share with us on our contact page. We love meeting new brands and causes.

  • Impersonating authors or other commenters. I know, I know. You’re like, “What?”. It’s sad, but true. Just please don’t do this.

  • Comments that make it clear you didn’t read the anything on the page. Enthralled at the fact that we didn’t mention your favorite brand, when actually if you scan down to around paragraph 4 and actually read. You would see we went it to detail about them and even linked.

  • Comments that are completely out of left field. Sometimes discussions veer off a bit, but are still related to the original subject. That is fine. Hijacking the conversation to promote off-topic commentary is not.

  • Threats — no matter how vague — against the author or other commenters. Things can get heated. Before you casually make vile threats, think of your Mother Earth. 🙂

  • Trolling. If you’re an anti-outdoors person, for whatever reason, just out for a good trolling and are not contributing meaningfully to the conversation, we’ll be pushing you back under the bridge.
